Looks good! Nice sleek design :applaud: I'm curious, how did you get all your dowels to line up precisely? I'm going to use dowels on my bartop project too. I've 3D printed some little dowel template jigs to use, but curious to hear how you did it. |

Thanks! For the dowels, I carefully measured the spacing, then did the board edge first. I used this jig: https://www.amazon.com/Milescraft-1319-JointMate-Handheld-Dowel/dp/B01M8L1WVN/ref=sr_1_6?s=power-hand-tools&ie=UTF8&qid=1541422928&sr=1-6&keywords=dowel+jig Once those holes were drilled, I stood the board up against the other board (where the holes would align in the future), then carefully leaned it over, then put a dowel in, and marked each position. Then I used a straight edge to center the board in it's proper position and use the same jig (with the edge guard removed) to drill each hole. You kind of gotta look down the bore of the jig and eye-ball center as best you can. I think I had about 3 dowel holes I had to oblong a bit to make it go together. Not a big deal with all the dowels I used though right? Haha. |
| Jimbo:
Haha yeah. Nice one. Too many dowel holes shouldn't be a problem :) Nice little jig that. |

Got a couple of outstanding items from Andy @ ultimarc. Thanks Andy! I didn't have much time over the weekend to do any work on the cabinet. I did have time to start working on artwork, specifically the control panel. Slow process that. |

I'd love a bit of help on this if anyone can chime in. Here's an image of the control panel layout I'm considering. This will be a plexiglass inlay in the main panel. I'm mainly looking to see if spacing is appropriate. I saw a thread before that discussed spacing but for the life of me cannot find it. Input please - does the P1/trackball/P2 spacing look appropriate? |
