D9200 Daed?
« on: October 07, 2018, 03:22:29 pm »
Hi Guys, looking for some help!
I am backlogged in repair and not so experienced on the D9200.

Here is the issue- Dead more or less on power up 1Click followed by a series of rapid clicks (almost a buzz).

The Hot was shorted and I have replaced it, still fine.

If I substitute the Hot for a 60 watt bulb to the collector - it does not light.

This would indicate a power supply issue, regulator seems fine and no bulged caps. I tackle it again tomorrow, but if any one has any insight and I can save some time that would be great!

Thanks
Rick

Before pointing finger at the PSU, move the lamp to an earlier stage of the B+ path. Lift the leg of R854 farthest from the PSU and try there.
