« on: October 02, 2018, 11:40:39 am »
Hi,
Newbie to site and juke boxes
I have an R-85
Some records (few) play fine.
Others load and start but just skip and they have to be rejected..
Replaced the needle and adjusted the arm but still have problems.
can someone help me out...

Hello,

Sorry you did not leave a name.

You need to check and adjust the tone arm cam adjustment, if you have a R-85 manual look at page 22 fiure 9, this involves adjustment of the cam collar (part number 2-18133-01)

Regards
Alan

Alan,
i tried to adjust as per your instructions..
Unfortunately at this time the carousel just turns and will not pull a record to play.
I obviously created another problem.
I did adjust the arm but I am not sure if I fixed that problem because of the new problem...
What did i break ???

Hello Paul,

The new problem more than likely is dry joints on the header pins on the boards or loose connections on the looms.

Ami Rowe AMI R-85 starlight Jukebox selects record tries to play the record then cancels. Tries to play the same record again then cancels. keeps doing this each time.
I switched off the jukebox switched it back on again I then select a different record.
The carousel stops, the record is selected placed on the turntable and the same thing happens again!
It tries to play record then a second later picks up the record puts it back into the carousel and re-selects it. Once more it tries to play again and back to the same problem and so on!
Can anyone provide me with the answer to this problem, please? Many thanks, Les.
