what do you guys use to paint mdf lets say if i wanted it black how many coats of what? |
| orntar:
lots o prep is the key. sand it down, clean, primer, and sand again clean, primer, topcoat at least 3 thin layers. you'll get the idea as you lay down each layer. you could even start on just one rear panel to get the hang of it. i use rust-o-leum. for all of it. but it depends how pro you want to get. with good prep work average quality paint can look great. |

I used 2 coats of primer on both the inside and outside to seal it. Then I used three coats of black super satin paint with a roller. |

I've used two coats of water based primer. I've already done one coat of paint and some parts are already with a nice finish ... I believe I'll only use two cotas of paint. Note: I'm using a gun, not roller ... |
