Recommend Mixed Reality / Hololens headset?
« on: August 30, 2018, 08:09:03 pm »
I don't want to derail or gunk up the "I've tried virtual reality..." thread so posting here.

Briefly: I need to get a "mixed reality" headset and I'm looking for recommendations. And yes, it should come with hand controllers too.

You mean an Augmented Reality (AR) headset?

There's a list here of what is available and/or upcoming: https://www.tomsguide.com/us/best-ar-glasses,review-2804.html

For AR the Hololens or Magic Leap One is probably your best bet.

Thank you for that link. If I read correctly, looks like Hololens (and maybe Magic Leap) are the only real choices for "full-room" with interaction type of AR? Everything else labelled itself as "Enterprise level" and sounded mostly like they were HUDs rather than interactive.  ???
