Rowe TI-1 Search Unit
« on: August 20, 2018, 09:34:02 pm »
Having fixed a different problem, this issue popped up. When I make a song selection, the pushbuttons latch in but nothing happens. When I turn the select coil arm manually, the correct pin gets pushed out and everything works fine from there. The problem is, the select coil arm won't turn. I checked all adjustments and cleaned the contacts on R1, R5, S1 and S2 with tapered paper as advised. Is there a way to test the search unit motor to see if it gets power? Any other suggestions? The troubleshooting guide suggests an open circuit in selector assembly but that really doesn't narrow it down.
