Rowe R87 Issues
« on: August 15, 2018, 10:50:21 am »
Issue is that now and again, record selected picked and placed on turntable, after either a few seconds or even 2/3rds of the way through.  Arm returns record to rack, different selections and if I continue with the same selection will eventually play. Also intermittently plays next record.

For example select 120 to play goes to 121 and plays.

(Did have sound issues, replaced Amplifier)

Hello chrismag38,

The issue could be dirt on the magazine gear or opto switch, you will have to check these out and clean them, there should be no dirt, grease or oil anywhere on this mechanism especially on the teeth of the magazine gear or the opto switch.
Adjust your opto switch as per your manual.

Regards
Alan
