Paperboy settings/controls
« on: August 04, 2018, 05:17:38 pm »
I am working on putting paperboy onto my ride on super hangon setup. I am finding that with the bike centered, the paperboy bike still goes right. If I slightly lean to the left the bike goes straight. I don’t have issues in other games with this, is there a specific setting I can adjust in the paperboy game to correct this or is that normal for the game.

I haven't looked at it to verify, but most games in MAME have an in game service menu where the controls can be calibrated (usually F2 by default).
On some older games, there is a DIP switch that needs to be flipped (virtually in MAME's in-game menu) to put the game in service mode.

I'm not a fan of increasing the deadzone but if nothing else works, you could go that route.
