I've checked out the faq here and watched a few youtube vids, but some of the info is outdated and too often the vids I watch are more about how to install rather than just showing how the launcher performs. At least that's my excuse for asking for more of a spoon feed.
So, I'm looking to build a cabinet later this year based primarily around a couple dozen games with MAME being the main or perhaps only emulator. I haven't done enough research/experimentation to know if MAME works well enough for old SNES titles (not counting playchoice) or if I'll have to use a separate emulator. That said, I'm looking for a launcher that's very clean and simple. Frills (like videos) are fine so long as the load times aren't long and it isn't too "busy", so to speak. I don't mind paying for software if it's good enough, but i'm not too proud for freeware. When I do eventually build my cabinet, it will probably not be something I update very often or ever.
Given my criteria, please offer me your top 3 or top 5 suggestions for launchers and I'll check them out.
Thanks!
