Play Music videos?
« on: May 13, 2002, 02:00:43 pm »
Well, first off, thanks everyone for pointing me to the Toshiba 27a41.  I picked one up from Best Buy that was on clearance.   Looks like it will fit my cab, and I've started  hooking it up to my PC.
Now to the crux of my question.  When I have the cab in attract mode  I'd like to have it playing music videos (which  I have a big number of) in fullscreen.  Do any of you have something like this? Or will I need to start  hacking out my own solution?

Thanks!

there are a number of avi/mpeg screensavers out there.  One I tried out a while back might work.  Only problem is that they want $ for it.  http://www.softdd.com/aviscrn/index.htm

I'm sure there are nicer ones out there though.

raging dragon's screensaver mode supports the fullscreen playback of media files.... just put them in a playlist.

There's a freeware screensaver called ActiveMovie Screen Saver (1.59MB), pretty good and easy to use.  Requires Windows media player but will play AVI, RealMedia, MPEG, VCD, MP3 ect.

I don't think it's being developed anymore. You can still find it on some of wares sites though.
