Looking for 1P and 2P buttons that don't wear out quick?
« on: July 16, 2018, 05:16:53 pm »
I bought cheap 1P and 2P buttons for my cabs from eBay and they just don't last: the black image printed on the white plastic disappears fast with use. Some of the buttons are pure white now... no image at all!

Does anyone know of some replacements that don't suffer this fate?

Cheers!

That isn't normal, I suspect you might have got them from a source that was doing their own printing on the buttons or something. They normally don't even look like that after 20 years on location.

Tornado Terry's sells real Happ buttons, here are the start buttons you want.

Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

Another tip I can give you regardless of where you buy them from is to use clear nail polish / or a clear protective film/spray. Also you can get vinyl button logo's as an alternative.

Also, you might wanna replace those crummy sticks.

If you want to be super cheap, you can make your own button labels using tape and a laser printer. I tried it out myself and I had really good results!

Heh, I once put happ comp joys into a cab I made for a friend... and after a little while he asked me to change them out for some somewhat-used MCA joysticks, just like the OP's! These guys have few parts, a solid rubber boot in the bottom and they never seem to wear out.
Check out my completed projects!
