Thoughts on my first trip:
First and foremost a huge shout out to Yotsuya, dude made everyone feel right at home and worked tirelessly all weekend in prep for the event just so we could have a good time.
OND, just as epic in real life as on the forum, and on top of it he’s funny as hell. We chatted all weekend and he put up with my incessant technical questions.
MikeA, might be funnier in real life than on here if, that’s possible. Very generous guy, and always making sure everyone was having a good time.
Opt2Not, screw you Opt, I’m gonna start practicing more for next year.....that’s all I have to say about that. Nah, the guys ---smurfing--- good at gamin, and very friendly and happy to give pointers. Was down to party all hours as long as you didn’t wake him before noon.
JAWN, kept the party going, dude can drink, and damn he owns a lot of games.
Viggo, I don’t think we’d chatted once on the forum but the guy was humble (did you know he was behind the Zero Delay encoder?), knowledgeable, friendly, and he waited patiently for my drunk ass and drove me to breakfast.
PBJ, low key, but down for whatever. Dudes easy to talk to and fun as hell.
Brotha Neph, damn this guy knows a lot. Maybe too much,
might’ve killed one or two of my plans. I owe him for the pinball lessons that got passed down to Malenko.
Gilrock, down for the drinkin, we had a blast by the pool.
Malenko, ---smurfing--- good guy. Slyly funny, almost over my head, and loves to stir it up. Knows a ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- ton about gamin and gave me some priceless lessons on the pins.
Haruman, almost had me at Street Fighter 2 CE
Nexusmtz, felt like he was a local, carted us around with no complaints despite being around a bunch of drunks.
And finally TTC, can’t repay this guy, set the tone for the whole weekend. Mesa is lucky to have you.
Planning on making this an annual trip, still got the smile on my face.
