Notes for ZapCon Virgins: 1. Wear comfortable shoes. You’ll be standing a lot. 2. Get your shirt early, that way you can guarantee your size. 3. If you want a cool souvenir, check out Moro’s Glass booth. He does custom etched pint glasses for the show. Tell him Yotsuya sent you. His website is http://motosglass.com. Get those early, too, as some of his designs sell out early. 4. Best times to play stuff is to get there early or stay late. Don’t be a dick and add 4 credits to a pinball machine when someone is waiting. 5. The food trucks are great, but if you get hungry, there is a bar across the street on the right side of the hall. It gets busy, but the food is decent and it’s a good place to unwind. 6. Be there prompt for the photo. We don’t want anyone to get left out. 7. Make sure you meet TacoTownCharlie. He’s a first ballot BYOAC Hall of Famer, for sure. 8. Wear cargo shorts. Yeah, they’re old fat dude/WNBA fan uniform at this point, but they’re handy for swag and loot. 9. Make sure you wear your Adventure Dragon throughout the weekend so people can identify you as a BYOACer. 10. No facepunching. 11. Take and post photos in this thread. Still trying to get DaOldMan, Lew, WP34, Jennifer, and Howard out here one day and want them to see the fun. Looking forward to tomorrow! |
