Who knows whats in that mess, I have been carefully excavating it however and will keep my eye open, I was actually down there looking for Mata Hara (Yes I lost a whole machine somewhere, :-\) But apparently it was a crossover year and was either EM or solid state and some had German writing on her sword so I am kinda curious which one I actually have.

Oh for fun, Jenn thought she had one somewhere....It is actually really nice for its age, Although it is solid state, and nothing special about the sword, Common run of the mill I guess.

Thank you...Yes you shamed me for that 8 ball one day, (that's why that pic just for you ;)) its not that fun I suppose but not many survivors around.... That Speedway is one I am a little nervous to do its all EM with color wheels and all, Im still squirrelling parts away for it, but not much left to choose from anymore. *Fun story, I had to drive 4 days on the road for that one. (1400 miles).

I didn't realize that was in the pic.... But yes he is a little cutie pie, That one was not planned, I had room on the truck and made the deal. Apparently it had some affiliation with that P/side crowd, because some drunken baboon reflowed ALL the solder joints and it is a real mess, yes it works for now, but needs my love.

It was a fun day.... But the reality is it took Jennifer 2 days to even find that machine, And when I did It required moving over a dozen games and jukeboxes  (two times) to get to it, getting it to the bench set up shopped out, and troubleshooted. This was a real time  thread, so Do the math.... I don't know who around here moves games like that, but me, Well I am beat, bruised, scratched, sliced, haven't slept in like days, mentally/physically drained  and my wrist hurts so bad I couldn't play it even if Jenn got it working anyway. And if that isn't bad enough I got a dozen games here already in various stages of restoration. It was fun however, maybe next time we will go up to the other place, and see whats all up there and have another fun day. , ;D....As for build threads I can only do one at a time, And for now that is the "Hot" pin build.

But to the curious, Mati Hara is going to be a tricky fix, since the problem is random not just failure, next on that is voltage tests.... As for "The hot pin" I need to burn some screens, and for those of you that remember this cart I designed welded/painted awhile back, here it is going together today (finally). For those that need to get up to speed with this, it is 5000watts of ultra heavy duty death ray UV, screen burning awsomeness, Oh yes please, what a fun day! :applaud:

When I have too, its a messy expensive hobby, but its been more about convenience with small things like circuit boards and faceplates and such  up until now .... I will soon be doing large format multi color process. However I having a bit of trouble doing the math on vacuum for the table and consequently overall design without doing some homemade wooden u/tube skippy. but if you look at that lamp head on the cart its going to be dead center on it so kinda gives you an idea of how big (7x8 ft). Jenn is leaning towards aluminum for that project given size/weight considerations. although its a bit tricky to weld and will push my limits.

There is a belt sander behind that light.... I do NOT recommend buying one, That one is heavily modified, and right out of the box was so bad it vibrated horribly to the point it tried to eat itself, and actually bent the main shaft. the five year warranty was the selling point for me, but not much help and after the third try was getting used parts, and a very direct lectures on how great there machines are by some salesman who apparently has never even used one.... This machine was mounted on a restored craftsman band saw stand ,And completely gone through,  motor was replaced with a farm duty 3 ph , with a vfd (for variable speed) given the original was poorly aligned open frame , the main shaft was turned from stainless, to adapt a Jet disk plate ( the one it came with was thin flimsy, and out of balance, which was attempted to be addressed at the factory by back drilling balancing divots on the back...EPIC  FAIL..., The top plate was modified for a stainless dust collector (I threw all that cheesy ABS plastic into the recycle) and finally found the original problem which was a bad pulley casting half of it was actually hollow (found that out by cutting it in half) warranty sent me a apparently used pulley with the SAME poor half hollow casting problem. at this point they wanted nothing more to do with me in terms of my forensics....Do not buy one unless you want to spend a year and a half of redesigning, (and more that double your initial cash outlay in parts) to make it even usable.

Jen sat down to rebuild the P/s and found it to check out as working.... I did however replace it with a pin head, and it still had issues....replaced  the driver board and Roms still to no avail....Hit the flippers and it tilts....Before I resort to the Aid boards I will put a scope on it.
