Anyone ever build a claw machine?
« on: May 31, 2018, 09:26:41 am »
Hey Guys...So my 5 year old is obsessed with claw machines and wants me to build her one.  Has anyone here ever done it?  I think I'm going to give it a shot.  Cheers!

Very custom work will be needed.

Vending route guys have storage units full of decommissioned machines pulled off routes for one reason or another.
$100 to $700 can get you a newer smart industries machine if you talk to the vending guys.

Look at the sticker on machines and call it then be friendly.

If you were around here i could get you a trailer full of broken ones feom a friend who routes....

I looked into building one a few years ago but realized my kids were quickly aging out that type of attraction.  If/when grandkids come I'll likely take it up again because it seems like a really fun project.  The guy I bought my first cabinet off of had one and he did a lot of cool things with his.

Here is the kit I had my eye on at the time.  I see the price has come down quite a bit.

My youngest is same age and i would not never make a 220V system myself and let her play with it without eyes on my back too, if ofc your not using a transformator from wall to the toy so the big Volts are not close...
