CRT emu driver - Switching noise - New Astro City
« on: May 21, 2018, 11:49:56 am »
Hi,

I've updated my graphic card from ATI 4890 to 7870XT.
I've re-installed everything and so far so good, everything is working fine (CRT emu driver 2.0 b13).
The only difference is the noise I now get when the screen switches from 640x480i to super resolution. With ATI 4790 card, there was no any noise.
(please increase your volume speaker to hear the noise)

Do you think it's a normal noise ?

It's hard to say. Multisync monitors have ralays that sound bad on mode switching. Is that a multisync monitor? The way the new card/drivers deal with sync signals upon mode switching may make the monitor act differently that it did before, that's all.

I's a Nanao MS9 15-24kHz.
My computer is plugged to a JAMMAsd which only output 15kHz.
Thanks for your reply @Calamity.
