- is splicing the wire to make it longer going to lead to me getting latency or anything
- can I just cut and 'twist' in an extra bit of wire
I don't have a crimper
Thanks. Why does the 'twist' method require anything? I'm just thinking twisting together and wrapping in insulating tape...
Well, I bought a crimper. Waited days for it to arrive, tested it on a spare piece of wire, worked great. Tried it on the cables from my harness and they were far too thin to hold and just slipped out.Resorted to twisting and soldering. Job done

Job doneIf they are to thin strip them extra long, twist the strands then double them over.
