Dust cover for ServoStik
« on: May 11, 2018, 06:41:32 am »
I have 2 servostiks but I want to buy smaller diameter dust covers for them (they're 50mm as standard and I want ~30mm)

Every dust cover I seem to see online appears to specify it's for certain sticks but not others, but I'm a) not sure of the base of the servostik and b) therefore not sure what will fit...

Anyone able to advise?
I was looking at maybe these: https://www.arcadeworlduk.com/products/kdit-aluminium-jlf-shaft-cover-and-dust-cover-set.html
or https://www.arcadeworlduk.com/products/QanBa-Shaft-Cover-Set-For-JLF-Series-Joysticks.html

Thanks

Do you know anyone with a 3d printer? This is a project perfectly suited to 3d printing.

Go outside. pick up a rock. Spin around a couple times and throw the rock in the air. You will hit someone who owns a 3d printer.

There are 3d printing services online.
It looks like you are not located in the States. I would print some up for you. My son has access to a 3d printer at school. I am not sure if it would be worth it with the postage. That is up to you.

Id print you some but shipping to the UK would kill.

You could ask in this thread - http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,155900.0.html - I know there are a few UK users that are printing. They might be able to help.

I made a set out of the plastic from a DVD case (not clear jewel case).

Drill the hole slow, step up from small to final.
Cut it over sized with heavy kitchen scissors, then sand to your line. I used a 6" disc sander.

Drill the hole first tho, if I remember it took two tries, lol.
