MAME CHD Question......
« on: May 08, 2018, 09:45:36 pm »
I'm sure this is an easy question, but I can't find the info.
For MAME CHD files I know they are supposed to be in a folder with the same name as the ROM.
I thought in later versions of MAME you could simply add the CHD files to the ROM folder and they are not required to be in a folder.
Is this correct ? If so, from which version of MAME on can I simply place the CHD's as is into the ROM folder ?

Thank you all

DaredevilDave

I don't know for sure. Since nobody else has replied, I believe they still need to be in folders. I'm using 197 and using folders.

I suppose you could just try it?

I appreciate the info @ DaredevilDave.
I've moved the CHD's over to the required folder name.
I'll give it a shot this weekend.

Thanks
