Enlighten me please?
There's nothing wrong with using a Pi, especially when you need a really small form factor. The issue comes when someone using a pi expects it to run games it cant, or emulate faster than it can, or wants help running *nix commands. The less accurate emulation and things of that nature never bothered me, it is about playing the games. To be honest, its amazing that the pi can run what it can. Personally, if you have a full sized arcade machine, I don't see the appeal of a pi over a PC. Not only in terms of performance, but also in ease of use for the typical end user.
I mean I would agree with that but at the same time we have people using pentium 4 PCs and no one complains.
PBJ is anti Weecade, so there is a bias. That and people drop $150 in parts then like J said, try to sell them for $1200.
As for P4s, I haven't seen a project use one of those in years, got a link to the project so I can see it? I'm all about repurposing old hardware but even a core2duo is too old for me.
