While searching some "less expensive" jamma boards, i came across this one.  Looks really cool, but can't find any info on it.  Not on google, not on klov.  Any ideas?

https://www.ebay.ca/itm/DRVE-OUT-JAMMA-ARCADE-PCB-BOARD/332629991425?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D20180124145912%26meid%3D116607ffc6534f469ba81b18a7f9752b%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D142764158272%26itm%3D332629991425&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851

What i'd REALLY like to know is if this is a steering wheel game or joystick.  While my guess is that it requires a wheel, it's unclear to me. I'd be extremely interested if it were a joystick game.

yeah, it's a bootleg of Drift Out, surprised you can't find any info on it because it's been emulated in various emulators for years.

the sound on the bootleg in emulation has always been terrible tho, no idea if the PCB is like that

Also while the original supports analog and digital controls, and the bootleg code also has support for analog there is absolutely no guarantee that the analog components will be present on the bootleg PCB in order for that to work.

PCB prices (especially on eBay and in Japan) are stupid right now, even some bootlegs are going for the $300 region, so anything cheap tends to be kinda awful in some way or another.  People really need to stop buying anything until the market becomes more sane again.

Thank you very much for the info!

Maybe theres a better place to look when the basics don't turn up anything, but i would've never guessed a different bootlegged version.

I was actually HOPING for digital joystick only, so that would POSSIBLY work well.

I hear you on prices.  I may take a risk once, and see what happens.  I don't mind risking a small investment, especially when i don't have the 300+ for the good games that i see being sold for.

Thanks again.

Inquire on KLOV. Prices there are usually better than eBay.

I say save your money and just buy the games you really want. It’s tempting to pick up stuff for cheap, but there’s a reason why it’s cheap. You might not be able to unload it later.
