JVL Retro Interface board battery
« on: May 25, 2018, 07:03:47 pm »
I have a JVL Retro that threw the "interface board battery is low" message. I soldered in a new battery, but I still get the same message. The new battery measures 3.66 volts with the machine running or off. Have any of you seen this problem? Thanks

Did you try doing a factory reset after you replaced the battery?

No I didn't. How do I perform a full factory reset?

press and hold the yellow setup button during boot up till it goes to the factory reset screen.

That's what I thought but when I hold in the yellow set up button, then turn on the machine, then continue to hold it , the machine just boots up normally. When the machine is on the set up button operates as it should. Tried it 4 times in a row and it always booted up normally. ???  I'm running itouch 10+

Maybe the Interface board is faulty? I have had the low battery issue, and even after replacing with another 3.6v battery, got the same message, but after a factory reset the error was fixed.
