Anyone near San Francisco area want to build together?
« on: September 26, 2019, 01:51:21 pm »
I've been considering building a MAME system for years, but life has kept me busy doing other things. I'm finally ready to make the leap. Would anyone in a similar situation, who lives somewhere near the San Fran bay area, want to work together on our systems? I figure this might be a good way to keep me motivated, plus it's always good to have someone to help bounce ideas off of in real time.

My goal is a system that can run most of the classic MAME games, but if it could do more, great. I have a 4P cabinet that I might use, or I might just start from scratch to better optimize for a modern monitor, etc.

I happen to live on the peninsula, near Redwood City. I have a decent size workshop in my garage and tools. Let me know!

I'd say that sounds like fun, but I think I'm a little too far to make it practical (East Bay).  Happy to help in anyway I can though.

Thanks Arroyo. I'll also mention that I worked in arcades in the late 80s fixing the games and pinballs. Again if anyone wants to work together I think we'll get it done a lot faster (and it'll be more fun).

Come on, folks! He needs a lo-cal Bro. Maybe a Local Bro...but that's a personal matter. Have opportunity in mind.

This kind of build is just more fun to work on with others. No one?
