Marquee retainer

I’ve been building Bartop Arcades and have always cut in a notch on the top and bottom of the marquee support with my table saw so the marquee slips right in. I wanted to try something new so I purchased some of those marquee retainer clips from suzo Happ. Well, they arrived and I have no friggin clue how to use them.  I may be just over thinking it. Is it as simple as laying the flat part on on the under side of the marquee section and the curved piece facing upwards so it holds the marquee? I must be missing something.

That is it, except you need a piece on the top as well.

Dang, I figured that was it. Doesn’t really leave room for tmolding. What does everyone here do to keep their marquee in place?

1/2 inch lath screws

For a Bartop I'd just use these.  Drill pilot holes for the screws.  Spray paint them black from the inside.  The clear outside will make them look great.  They are dirt cheap at Lowe's or Home Depot:  https://www.lowes.com/pd/Miller-LLC-48-in-Plastic-Corner-Guards/1184387

Bartop cabinets are not supposed to have marquees, they are designed to be a low as possible so you can still see the bartender and the bartender can still see you.
