Don't see this topic from a google search so figured I'd start a dialogue here.

Golden Tee Fore Complete (06)
Sound is very faint.
If you leave the game on awhile it will attempt to make an 800 phone call and get stuck on the dialing screen, closing it crashes attract mode.

Golden Tee Fore 2005
Sound is louder but there is echo-ish stutter in the narrator dialogue.
It doesn't go into the phone dialing routine when left sitting, instead it will just say no dial tone in the bottom right corner.

Even Golden Tee 2k has some sound warbling issues, so presume that is the nature of the current mame development with the IT system.

All the phone call / communication stuff can be turned off in the game service mode.

Volume can be increased in the service mode too (also there are dedicated buttons the game has for increasing / lowering volume)

Audio echoing / stutter is because you're not running at full speed.  They require in the region of a 4Ghz current gen i7 to run at full speed (and even then there's the occasional drop for heavy foliage areas unless you also set the games to low resolution which is done with a dipswitch)

Thank you a lot.  I am still at the on ramp of the learning curve.  :)
I set the resolution to low in the dipswitch settings from the Mame UI (tab).
Indeed this is just a 2.6Ghz PC.
Service menu worked!

Volume was an entry on the main menu.

the Calling was found in-
ITNET Menu>ITNET Adjustables Menu>Disable/Enable Calling
Used trackball to navigate menu and Start button for selections.
