I agree, I'll be looking for a new one.
I recently purchased a new bake element, that cost me $70.
I also have an issue with one of the burners, it does not work on the large setting.
So when you figure replace the burner, fix the current issue + $70 for the bake element.......... not worth it.
Scrap it, buy a new one.
I'd buy the same brand, and honestly I'll take all the parts I can from this one.
Even if I sell them.........which I see tons of people do locally.
I realize now why one time I put my old vacuum out on the curb, only to wake up in the morning and find it cannibalized.
Funny though............last week, after I had the range issue I was driving in my area and I saw a same brand range curbside.
I could not bring myself to go take any parts off, had I seen the homeowner outside I would have asked.
Potentially it could have had a working control board.
