Black screen after flashing HD4350 with Atom15
« on: March 14, 2018, 06:05:21 am »
Hi guys, finally i was able to install CRTEmudriver on clean XP 64 install, but i wanted to take a try and flash my 4350 with atom15. I followed each step, saving bios, flashing bios (with AtiWinFlash), then i rebooted my computer...and voila, 15hz bios sequence, 15hz Windows logo....then, black screen.

I really dont understand why. Here's my setup

CPU : I3-3225
MB : Asrock B75 Pro3-M
4GB RAM
64Go Sandisk SSD
HD4350
J-Pac (set on 15hz only)

Everything plugged on my Egret 2

Any help.would be great, thank you

Use the other output.
Important note: posts reporting GM issues without a log will be IGNORED.
Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.

yeah if you have native vga on the card, there's absolutely no reason to try using the DVI->VGA dongle

The ribboned VGA-ports, those not on the card PCB itself but connected by flat ribbon cable, are often subject to video noise. If you have a choice, the/a port on the PCB is better.

EDIT: card from the 6000 series and up obviously only have one analog output, so you don't always have a choice :)
