So it's 2018.... and we still see turds like these.

I mean I don't even... The controller is on the far left and the monitor is on the far right.  What's the extra 2 feet of height for?  Why is the monitor 2 feet above the control panel?  What's the glass for?

Yeah we don't need a crap mame section..... somebody explain to me how this one is a beautiful snowflake.

What a great idea, but I don't think the cabinet is stable.  I hope that mop comes with it to keep it upright.

Serious inquiries only...lol.

Jennifer, send me your address, I want to send you a present. It’s a NOS arcade ashtray for mounting on games. Never been used, been in an OPs stash in Northern Arizona since the 80s. I’m serious, PM it to me.

Some of the cigarette burn marks I've seen on CPO's....look like they used one of those mini torches from radio shack.

Usually when I need an oddball part I'll buy a control panel with cigarette burns.... you can get them for practically nothing.  There really shouldn't be smoking allowed in arcades imho.  You'll have 100 responsible smokers and 1 ---uvula--- that makes everyone else look bad.

That's messed up.  Yeah put it right over the joystick so if a stiff breeze blows by all the hot ash falls on the player's hand.

Kids these days!
Why in my younger years I would have worked an extra 2000 hours in the tobacco fields to save up for that fine piece of equipment.
I dont blame him for not taking any less, why I would force the gentleman to take more, and be dam proud to pay it.

(Notice it is making its way towards Zapcon)

$1,400 for those of us that are wondering why you clipped off the price.

It's almost within the realm of reason....

Gotta throw Zelda or Metroid in the title because nothing says "I have no clue what I am doing" like an arcade cabinet based around a franchise that's only had console releases.  ;)

I've never played an arcade cabinet where my elbows could rest on it while holding the joystick.
It looks not only like it would give me tendinitis I bet my forearms would stick to after they started to sweat from being pressed against the panel.

Was facilitating a raspberry Pi-Jam a the Library. Dad came up to show me a photo of his Pi-cade. It looked like a large  not yet painted Vegolex. Would fit right in here

I asked, what didn't you just use an old PC? He said it was EZ to find the right rom set. Any way I now get why some people hate the R-pi. I may still love it, but I'm not building full size cabs and sticking a very compromised option because I'm to lazy to fig your out a real MAME setup.

You forgot about the buttons designed for massive mutant hands.  All cabinets need them. Then look at the aesthetic of those wires being left bare and exposed like that.  I believe that this is a perfect interpretation of the struggles the builder has experienced in life.

Pictured - the elusive Pi based cabinet at an arcade show.

Notice that it's taken a ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- mid-game.

What really pushes it over the top is the row of actual cabinets in the background.
