I have a Ducane which was made after they were bought by Weber. It's an interesting story. Weber wanted to start making grills in China, but didn't want to risk their reputation while working the kinks out of supply chain and quality control. Ducane went in big debt to expand just as a financial crisis hit and people stopped buying their high end/high priced grills. They were bought by Weber, who used the Ducane brand name to work all the kinks out of the Chinese supply chain. After they had suppliers and quality control they could trust they switched the name on the grills to Weber Spirit. I got mine on clearance after the brand name was discontinued. It's been a great grill. I've replaced the heat distribution plates with stainless ones. Other than those it's been bulletproof. |

No pic = no grill My Weber has been great but Houston is killing it. Got it for $100 from an estate sale 10 years ago, repainted the wood, and it performed beautifully in San Antonio. Now I’m replacing the burner bars every year and the frame is rusting through. It won’t survive another move, which is a damn shame as I can fit a huge turkey in there after I found out a 25lber doesn’t fit in my oven. Now i just wrap the rust holes with foil and see how long I can milk it. |

I grill approximately once a year and not very well. Mine's a char and it's on the back porch covered and yet somehow the tire melted flat and it's got rust all over it. Didn't grill this 4th so I probably need to clean it up before fall. |

So, I switched jobs today. Been hustling like crazy on the walking and online seminars to bump up my points, and cashed in the last of my Amazon gift card credit from the old gig. Had all of 3 points (equivalent to 3 cents) left when I was done. :lol Got an original Xbox component cable and bottle of Tide coming. :cheers: |

Got Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 (Switch) today for $3.75. Best Buy sent me a $10 gift card for using their credit card, and there is some strange “birthday” discount that didn’t make sense to me, but it took off another 5%. I really like this game. The first one was great. Very Dracula’s Curse-like. Looking forward to more of the same. |
