Which means I'd have to setup FTP access to my new Synology NAS. Can't be too hard, it is designed to be remotely accessible, but I haven't done it before, so learning curves ahead to negotiate. I never bothered doing remote access for my old NAS, we mostly just used it within my local network. OTOH, this new Synology NAS seems much better optimised for remote access.
Frankly, I'm impressed with it so far, and all I've been doing is setting up volumes and backing up about 4TB worth of files from my old NAS. Knowing Synology, setting up remote access is probably as simple as installing an app package and tweaking some settings.
If possible would like to roll in some other artwork files from other sources.
Will work out what I need to do next week, probably after our guests have gone.
Of course, if I had a copy of the drive then it would be even easier.
