Sega Rally 3 Command Line
« on: February 02, 2018, 04:49:03 am »
Hi all

I am trying to launch SR3 running in Tecknoparrot using AttractMode frontend.  I cannot find anywhere what the parameters are.  There is a lot of stuff out there for older version of TecknoParrot that use dumbjvscmd etc. etc. but that is no longer relevant to the latest versions it seems.

I found that you start with parrotloader.exe followed by the path to the game exe, then the profile of the same in xml format but after that it requires some parameters which appear to go in between <>.

So it may look something like this:

c:\tecknoparrot\parrotloader.exe c:\segarally3\rally\rally.exe --profile=sr3.xml <>

Does anyone know the basic command line to run a game from TecknoParrot 1.33, I can then do the rest in Attractmode.

Thanks

Try this:

"TeknoParrotUi.exe" --profile=sr3.xml

:)

off topic, but pooterman, your avatar always makes me smile.
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

If you were born in the UK in the 1970's then you may well remember this too :)

Let's call it a tribute mash-up!

Did anyone try this recently? I can't get it to work.
The TeknoParrot interface windows loads up with a white screen (no content) when I try

"TeknoParrotUI.exe" --profile=SR3.xml

Does the game run fine when you open teknoparrtui.exe and then SR3? Either way, try setting up TP again from scratch. As in, wipe your TP folder but keep your SR3 folder (though you should delete the teknoparrot.ini file under the SR3/rally directory, i think it is).

Thanks, that worked :)
