But anyway, check out nes maker. It looks neat. Reminds me of rpg maker.

I like the presets for genres, but im expecting it to be generic unless you know the programming language. Kinda like rpg maker is. Wothout scripts you get the same basic games.

At first glance anyway it seems pretty robust from reports I've been seeing.  It might be a good way to learn assembly as well....  outdated assembly, but still.  ;)

I'm reasonably excited about it.  If it's good enough I might take one summer and do "BYOAC:  The Game."  :)

Yots did ZapCon: The Game.
If you can read this, it means Photobucket's money grab ruined my signature photos.

Yotsuya already did BYOAC The Game.

Yots did ZapCon: The Game.

It does have lots of BYOAC overtones, though.

Iím in negotiations to sell it to a small gaming company in Southern California.

I just watched all the tutorial videos and it looks pretty dope.
A little more difficult than rpg maker, but still easy enough to figure out. Hopefully they will get a forum together where people can contribute art, music, and scripts. That will give me a reason to get back into making 8 bit tunes.
