Possibly a Vanguard Resurrection

Mike A:
Well this weekend I did some actual work. I stripped down the damaged sides of my Krazy Bowl cab. I need to source some laminate that is a similar finish. Once I apply the laminate I can put that cab back together. Counting the cabs I pick up this weekend, I will have 5 Centuri cabs in various states of disrepair. I am piling up all of this work at just the right time. Summer is winding down soon.

Good work, man! I need to get off my tuckus and finish my 720 restore!
Mike A:
Yeah. I want to play that next year.

It was in a Centuri cab and I want a Time Pilot so that would put me part way there since I happen to have a working Time Pilot PCB.

I decided to take the cab apart and template it so I could build another.

While taking it apart I found a tiny clue as to what this cab was born as. A small piece of the original artwork under one of the bolts.

It looks like it was a Vanguard according to my brief detective work.

So now I am planning on templating this cab, and then restoring it to its former glory as a Vanguard cab.

Always loved VG. I would suggest not using the buttons for the directional fire. Install a second joy stick for that. I did that for the arcade I managed and it was well liked and increased revenue, for a while, but we still had the diehard players.

A second joystick?  :censored: :censored:
