Thanks menace, I'm going to order the system it's like half of what an Athlon or P4 would cost me. Thanks for everyones advice.

Nearly finished now, I can't wait to post pics of the finished MAME machine!

That system is very similar to the one I just got from Tiger Direct.  So far I have had no trouble nad it runs every non CHD game that I have tried on it.  Mine has a Mercury KT266A motherboard.  For some reason mine inclded PC2100 SDRAM instead of the listed PC133 DDR.

thats a decent setup erik, although you couldve got a little more bang for your buck if you went the pricewatch.com route and assembled your own, i just made up a full system that came out to about your price except i have a 2800xp athlon

A Dunron is WAY better than a celeron.  Here is article on low cost processors:
http://www.anandtech.com/cpu/showdoc.html?i=1927

"It is very obvious from these tests which line of budget processors is worth the money. When we can find a 1.6GHz Duron for just over half the price of a 2.6GHz Celeron and get better performance consistently in almost every test we ran, the choice is clear"

Celeron is crippled by lack of cache.  Duron has less cache than athlon but more than a celeron, but because it has a different architecture (shorter pipeline) it still performs fairly well.

Everyone should read this article and tell people not to buy celeron computers.
