led blinky quits after early exit from games in mame

hello all,

well i have really been enjoying the arcade since finishing it a few months back. i am quite illiterate in computer software.... but i have managed to get everything setup properly using Gameex for Mame and LED Blinky.
everything is working perfectly except for one small problem.
when in Gameex playing Mame games LED Blinky works great as i have all buttons set up to light up the individual game play buttons for each game...however when i exit out of a game before it is over then LED Blinky will shut off and will not start back up for any game that i choose from then on (I have to restart the computer to get it to start again). so when i start a game and play it until the last man is dead then i exit out of that game and open a different game then Blinky will continue working perfectly for each game that i play all the way through before exiting
so to sum up if i play a game til the end of the game then Blinky will continue to work for the next game and any game after.... but if i say only play the first man in Pac Man or any other game and exit out of it after only one man then Blinky will shut down and will not work any more.
does this sound like a fixable problem?
