JRS:
I have been reading this thread for a while now. Just a few days ago I was able to pickup an IceBall machine and am ready to start the conversion. I'm super excited use MLS to get this machine back up and running. Thanks to everyone who has blazed the trail for me to follow!
nipsmg:
Cool let me know if you need help.
SteveMakesStuff:
Hello nipsmg!
I've had your software for quite some time, but as of yet have only had it running on the bench.
I've been a lurker here for years, but have rarely had much to contribute. I just really enjoy all of the cool stuff you guys make.
I have a big school dance coming up, and I'm finishing up two machines this weekend.
I cannot for the life of Me remember where to find the pin definitions for My USB joystick and button controllers.
I'm trying to set these up for classic skee ball only for simplicity's sake.
These are running on i3 compute sticks plugged into an HDMI Monitor.
If you could point me in the right direction, I'd sure appreciate it.
Also, I wanted to see what your link was for tossing you a few dollars for all of your hard work.
Thanks! Steve

I am working on modding a SmartBall machine that I purchased that has a defective display.
Planning on swapping out the display for a 27 inch monitor and running your software on an Intel I3 NUC.
Wondered if possible to implement automatic ball release, maybe with a usb relay board..
Amazon has a bunch of different versions (single and multi channel) that are fairly inexpensive;
I can add a button to energizer the ball release solenoid but it would be great to automatically release
balls at start of new game. Maybe Also, drive a strobe and activate the ticket dispenser when "Winner"
is displayed and announced, with the same board?
I think it would really add to the "Arcade" feel for the machine.
I have been testing the software on a PC just using the keyboard and mouse for input and have
been very pleased. Looking forward to getting the game running on the machine.
Thanks for all your great work.
Rick
