Took advantage of a "free" four cardstock prints coupon from Shutterfly coupon to test their printing quality.  I'd say it's "eh" as they cropped a few but it turned out good overall.  These are actually four high quality box scans that I touched up and then drew in cropped out elements to get them to a proper 8x10" aspect ratio and size and then arranged together inside the frame.  I want to eventually do all the Konami silver boxes as I always thought they looked particularly good.  Maybe fill the entire door.

Was shipping free?  I swear their business model is shipping charges.

That's why I had "free" in quotes.  I think it was about 12 bucks shipping, which isn't great for regular paper printing, but they have strange media print options, so this was just a test to see if they red flag copyrighted material or what have you and if the prints are of a decent quality.  I will say that the cardstock is pretty darn thick, so I'll give them that much.

I was thinking down the line, the next time they do a coupon for those blankets or something oddball it might be fun to print some full side art or a flyer or something.

In emulators the shifter and lasso are the same.  What's the mod?

just look up the pinout for the lasso in Jambo Safari. You're basically gonna make 1 wire go to 2 pins, twice. Shift down triggers shift down and lasso back, and shift up triggers shift up and lasso out.
Its just been too long and I dont remember the pins.

EDIT: Followed the links, the KLOV thread has it right.  You can either jumper the pins on the bottom of the IO or run extra wires (I ran extra wires) 24+26 and 23+25

Fantastic. I’ve never played this game on real controls, you planning on bringing this to Zapcon when it’s done?

We wouldn't want it to fall over in the trailer either. ;)

I would volunteer to transport it, but I would be too tempted to load it up and just head back east.

Have you tried Deadpool yet? I played it at the white rose show, it was actually REALLY fun. Was impossible to hear the sound/music/voice but the table had lots of shots and modes. First table in a long time that made me wish I could afford a NIB pin.

Is that last pic the Wand of Gamelon?

There were a few Deadpools there but I didn't play it.  I've more or less lost all interest in modern Sterns.  They've gotten very same-y and the super hero themes do nothing for me.

And, yes, that was Wand of Gamelon.  True to CD-I form I couldn't get it to work at all.

Im not a big Deadpool fan, but the table was fun.  Honestly the only other Super Hero game I like is IronMan but that too is well outside of "Malenko Money".

I bought TMNT, but Im not loving it. Terminator 2 is at my buddy Bobby's house

I have played about 10 games on Dead Pool it is a fun game. I wish some of the shots worked better. If that even makes sense. I mean I hit that Colossus shot dead to rights about 10 times to have that ball bounce out 8 different times. And that katana lock shot is a pain tool.... but over all I think it's a great game!
Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin to slit throats.

Yeah I had a similar issue with the colossus shot as well, but I have no idea what angle the table was at or anything else, so I chalked it up to my lack of ability. My game on GotG lasted a lot longer than my DP games, but I had more fun with DP.  I wanted to play the Walking dead but every time I walked by it , it had a long line.

This made my day.  My daughter specifically picked out these gourds at a pumpkin patch because they looked like the ghosts from Pac Man.  She then painted them to match.

Guess these painted pumpkins are a "thing" this year on the female internet.  If you kid doesn't grow up with scars on their hand from a slipped knife from carving a pumpkin you have failed as a parent.

My wife almost took the knife away from her yesterday.  She was close to losing a finger carving a Pac Man pumpkin.

Got first place in my work's Video Game Trivia challenge on Friday.  There were 10 questions per decade of gaming from the 80's onward.
I was saddened by how little people knew of the 80's and 90's games. For a game development studio, I would expected more out of these guys. But then again, I do work with a lot of millennials...

Still, I got a $50 visa gift card out of it. chuffed!

Much as it kills me to do it, I'm probably going to print the backglass as a marquee, scrap off what remains of the original paint, and reuse the glass. Building a new frame for the glass that looks factory is going to be difficult. I compared it to several other gun games and it's the most complicated mounting by far. Missing back door is just plywood and a nail. Otherwise it's complete.

Well you can only do what you can do.  Sometimes the backglass just isn't salvageable.  I love the old shooting gallery games.... especially when they added UV light into the mix.  Be sure to throw up some video footage if it in action when you get the chance.

Your feelings should be mixed.  The hobby obviously isn't going to die thanks to this infusion of new blood, but then again the quality of some of this stuff is so poor that it might give newcomers bad impressions of the classics.

All I know is dollar general and all the other "dollar" brand stores are going to have some of the newer hdmi atgames ataris and genesis for around 30 bucks so long live the era of disposable crap. :)

Not sure how I feel about all this...

I know how I feel about a Karate champ "arcade" game with 1 stick and 2 buttons.

Made me feel like the hobby has jumped the shark, to be honest.  Those TV joysticks didn't help matters, the 99 cent apps on our phones made it worse, and now I see a shelf of stuff like that and wonder, "what's the point?"  Nobody is buying any of that crap, either.  Contemplating driving down to Galveston and throwing my latest project off the bridge.
