The Roy Clark pin has chimes and stuff, which are cool, but I want to add some sounds to spice it up. Ol’ Roy is a great guitar player, and I thought it would be cool to add sound to things like coin up, game start, and some of the targets.

Too bad it doesn't award free games, you could cue it up to play "If I had to do it all over again"

Actually, it does award free games if you hit special when lit.

With an Amazon gift card, I actually got the board that Scott posted and a small amplifier for three bucks out of pocket.

It’s all for shits and giggles, anyway.

Jenn is NOT a pinhead :badmood:....(But she sure does like them)....I never have been a big believer in mods, It sounds fun, but at the end of the day its not original, especially on a game like that, its not your high production desirable machine as mandated by the "Top 100" boston dork squad , and of what was built most likely many didn't get the love to survive.... I would get yourself a trauma machine and live on the edge of insanity.

I’m inclined to agree with you. I’m mainly experimenting with it - I’m not sure this would be a permanent thing.

Super gluing hotwheels in a cab? I'm with you.  Putting a pinsound board with upgrades speakers? You are dead wrong.  ClownPuke colored GI lighting? I'm with you. ColorDMD/Pin2DMD? You are dead wrong. So yeah, its a per mod basis.

Take my Terminator 2 pin. I added a Pin2DMD (colorized the game myself!) , chrome bumper cap stickers, and a snazzy as ---fudgesicle--- T1000 to replace the plain jane plate in front of the pop bumpers. Not original but all reversable, and all ehance the game. T2 was really limited on art because the didnt want to give away what happens in the movie, like Arnie being the good guy. So Im going to be modding my game even more to bring in elements from the movie into it.

If yotsie is going to add an easily reversible mod to enhance the game, I'm all for it.

I've done a few mods like that... a backboard 'decal' for The Shadow, stylized score cards for a few games.... Painted and glued a bunch of figurines into a SF2.  Put a can of Comet on top of my Comet.

And every so often I encounter them in the wild...  Particularly hilarious was listening to some dipshit talk about how I was ruining RGP or some nonsense and then I pointed out, "Hey, your FunFest is using my score cards."  He probably ripped them out as soon as I left.   :lol

They don't change the gameplay any and frequently clutter up the view, I'm not really a fan of them.

 :dunno

I was worried about the T1000 blocking the view, but he doesn't.  My next "mod" for T2 is a custom translight. This time instead of just snagging images from the googlez like I did for T2, I hired Opt2Not to bring my vision to life :)
I also have another buddy that might model something in 3D for me to 3D print, paint, and put in the back corner of the cab to add more movie elements.

I really like the Alt Shadow translight out there that replaces Alec Baldwin, it looks amazing.  There are a deluge of just god awful Alts out there.

What's the latest Shadow alternative translite?  I've seen a few versions.  Problem with those is the speaker panel needs to be redone, too.  It's incredible how much the translite ruins that game.  Alec starts to feel oppressive in a small game room.  Demolition Man didn't bother me nearly as much.

I would have issue with Mods (That's not much of a secret) easily revisable my foot, Jenn has spent enough time analyzing poor workmanship to know better....BUT.... Yots isn't just some doorstop who shouldn't be told what not to do, So....Jenn would seriously get a small analog scope (around 25mhz) and learn something real in the process should you decide to do this, That and copy the manual so you can document all the changes without destroying the original paperwork.

Unscrewing the 3 nuts holding in the T1000 , popping the plate back on, and putting the same 3 nuts back on isn't considered "easily reversible"?
Peeling off the chrome stickers to the top of a pop bumper cap isnt easy to do?
Swapping a DMD back into place is impossible?
changing out the translight of a pin cant be undone!?!?
Oh man, why didn't you tell me this before I put the new instruction cards over top of the old ones on the apron, I didn't know it was permanent!

I get it, Jen. I’ve been labeled a purist, and I proudly wear that label. That’s why I’m just experimenting with sound cues. I’ve basically want to add some sounds to couple roll over targets. That’s it.

Well not to worry then I will tell you all about it now .... Problem usually isn't not just 1 mod but the whole list, and then probably some red powdercoating, and my personal favorite that stupid key start switch, So you can physically take your key with you when your done and nobody can play your precious game unless your standing there supervising, But then You buy a game like that, (which was NEVER reversed back I might add) and have to spend untold hours archiving the darn thing, throw handfuls of stupid into the trash, And finally have to go source NEW parts and spend yet more money on a game you haven't even played yet, only to find that DMD is like 400.00 and on backorder, but it doesent matter much, because some idiot chopped into the wire harness to add some extra cool lighting and it will take at least a week to fix that anyway, provided they didn't drill a hole in the playfield to do so....And when you finally get it close to beings done, you flip a board over only to find EVERY solder joint on it was "reflowed" improperly with a massive branding iron type tool apparently that's how to fix problems and bullet proof things is really done.... But that's of NO concern to to me because its not my game I don't care, If you want to glue a rubber weiner to Jokers face go for it, Just don't walk around telling me how its worth more because of all this newfound awesome. Because again at my house it ALL GOES INTO THE TRASH.

Come on sister sledge, you act like I haven't fixed dozens and dozens of arcade cabs with a bunch of wire fuckery, excess holes, and board shenanigans. My point was reversible mods are possible, everything I did is easily reversible, and Im sure Yotzie isnt going to do anything that can't be undone.

That is quite true,  And to say otherwise would make Jennifer a hypocrite, Simply because I do like upgrades, well done and tasteful that is.... Sitting here thinking, I only have a few pins, (12) but they all have some kind of reversible mod...Jenns hot mess is almost embarrassing in that light :-[

Pins are so high maintenance, heavy, and require special equipment I been trying to keep out of that, jukes and games are bad enough.

I agree, I'll help you out, you can drop off as many as you want to my house and I'll shoulder the burden of maintaining them for you :)

I love Flight 2000. I make sure to always play it at ZapCon if it's there.

High maintenance?  They go for years once I get them 100%.   ::)

Anyway, nice lineup.  Hope it actually exists.

Of course they exist, And the REAL pbj would know that because at one time he didn't believe Jennifer had over a 100 games (Triple digits), and HE called them "Old junk" when I tried to show them.

Went to a video game swap meet today.  Lots of people and vendors and nobody buying anything.  One guy was selling Genesis/PS1/Dreamcast consoles for $4 each and had virtually no takers.  Plus everyone flinches when you say, “I’ve already got all these games on my raspberry pi.”

 :lol

Anyway, finished off with a trip to Game Preserve and then a real classy Latino sports bar.
