I took all the remnants of juice, combined into approximately a pint in a half gallon jug. Added enough sugar to get it to a potential 20%, and mixed in yeast nutrient and distillers yeast. It takes a LOT of sugar to get to a potential 20%. Anyway, used a soldering iron to burn a hole in the plastic cap and shoved in an airlock. Should only take a few days to ferment. :lol |

The cure for methanol poisoning is ethanol. You don't "accidentally make" methanol, it's present in homemade booze but negated by the ethanol. Only an issue if you distill it over a flame and don't toss out the first jug. Not an issue with freeze distillation. :cheers: |
