The guy who gave it to me has a whole shop full of old tools that he uses everyday. His band saw is huge and it is older than the jointer. Next time I am over there I will take some tool porn pics for Jennifer. |

Oh how I miss my vintage industrial equipment, I never should have downsized, the weight and quality of old cast iron just cant be duplicated in the big box store. The milling machine in particular hit me the hardest still even today, late in the nights Jennifer walks by the empty spot and misses her old friend, And thinks of all the fun things we did together..... My jointer however was downsized to a Rockwell 4",that has some sentimental attachment, and is so tiny and cute its really hard not to love it, although the rebuild took 6mos. and with the custom stand build was a bit spendy (more so than just buying a new Jet 6" long bed) But Jenn would do still do that again today, given it can now shave wood as thin as paper. and don't really need a big one anymore. |
