Yep, and they were already fooled once by someone that put a bandaid over his tear drops apparently.

What's the latest Shadow alternative translite?  I've seen a few versions.  Problem with those is the speaker panel needs to be redone, too.  It's incredible how much the translite ruins that game.  Alec starts to feel oppressive in a small game room.  Demolition Man didn't bother me nearly as much.

My buddy has a Last Action Hero... Talk about a Translite that ruins a game! Luckily he got the alternative Trans. So much better!

Used to play the absolute crap out of Last Action Hero.  Probably the only game I’ve played where I knew the scoring so well I knew when to let the balls drain so I could maximize replays and extra balls.  Translite never bothered me on that one but the movie is terrible.  Been very weird to see people online going with the “ahead of its time” routine.

I’ve thrown ridiculous offers at them but never taken one home.   :-\

One just popped up by me for $2k

I have yet to play it, but next time I am over at his house I will put some time into it. It looks to be in great shape!

It's bad... but I kind of like it. It's so bad it's good kind of thing?

That’s a lateral change, imo.

SF2 translite is weird in that there’s a ton of good SF2 artwork... and everything else on that machine looks great.  No idea what they were thinking.

Nice.  The "Proving Ground" quest is active for me but I wanted to level up to 50 before going in.  I'm at 48 currently and really can't see how I'll get to 50 other than grinding.  I have 14/15 trials finished (don't think I'll get the last one - it is too hard).  I should just finish - I have a few other games I want to play.  I'll probably start The Last of Us next... I'd like to play God of War or Far Cry 5 but I refuse to pay more than $20 for games.

LOL.  Are you me?  I got up to level 47 and decided to hell with it, time to finish the story.  These damn open world games get me every time... somewhere around 75-85% completion before I throw in the towel and just beat them.

My problem with Last of Us was I felt like the combat ramped up very, very quickly in difficulty before you really knew what you were doing.  I got tired of avoiding spoilers, and finally just put it on Easy to get through it.  A few hours in, you've mastered the combat and the whole thing gets more cinematic than challenging.  You'll blitz through it even on higher difficulties...

Far Cry 5 is probably going to be a Black Friday purchase for me.  Need to unwrap a few games in the shoeboxes before I buy more.

Same here.  I get to about 90% and then either quit and never finish or just say screw it and go to the end.  I started Last of Us two different times and I liked it but it was slow.  I'm hoping third time's a charm.

It’s Jim’s now, but yes. I was out of room so I put it up for sale at ZapCon. I had a few offers, but Jim is a good dude and I wanted it to go to someone who would appreciate the fact it’s a Tully design. Glad they made it over ok, I’ve never dealt with shipping before!

Jenn is NOT a pinhead :badmood:....(But she sure does like them)....I never have been a big believer in mods, It sounds fun, but at the end of the day its not original, especially on a game like that, its not your high production desirable machine as mandated by the "Top 100" boston dork squad , and of what was built most likely many didn't get the love to survive.... I would get yourself a trauma machine and live on the edge of insanity.
I was WRONG,  (Like you hear THAT everyday ::))....Apparently there were 2390 machines made, I know right? Jennifer is shocked too, that's quite a respectable run on those Roy Clark cocktail pins.

My mom and dad are the money bags. It is their pool. ;D

That's the way to do it.  Always a pleasure to go to the coast and drive my dad's boat, Porsche, truck, use all his bait, and drink all his rum.  He should buy a jet ski.

LOL, my siblings are always hitting up the old man to buy things that only they want to use.

I tried to talk him into a Lamborghini, but he went and bought a damn Bentley instead.  So impractical...  ::)

2018 Chuff thread - is it chuffy in here?
« Reply #439 on: May 31, 2018, 04:00:24 pm »
Spent some time in VA last weekend visiting my best friend. We repaired stuff all weekend. Even popped my cherry on a dead vector monitor.
Tempest deflection board fix:  Complete rebuild and fixed broken traces and pads.
ROTJ PCB edge connector:  Replaced burned up pads on edge.
Re-capped multiple monitors and got to try out my rejuvenator.

Great weekend!
