Garth puts on a hell of a show.  And he is sort of "the guy" when it comes to modern country music (36 top ten hits since 1989), so it's his to butcher.  :)

He came to Billings (pop 100k) and sold out 5 shows over one weekend (~18k people per show).  I went to the last one, which started at 6:30pm, and he said he would play all night if the audience wanted since he didn't have another show for a few days, and I left at 11pm and heard that he played til 1 am... I gotta give him some respect for that.
pbj:
Yeah, I'll hand it to him - it was a very good live show.  Particularly contrasted to that time Toby Keith came out 45 minutes late drunk out of his mind, and slurred his way through a few songs.   :lol

On the other hand, his band was diverse, and his lyrics aren't preachy or chest thumping patriotic....

Garth Brooks simultaneously revolutionized and ruined modern country music.  Injecting a bit of rock/pop into his sound works, because he's great.  It doesn't for everyone else because they suck.  I like old Garth and I don't like country.

I’ve seen Garth a few times. He’s a great entertainer.

This, my friends, is a NOS 4-way WICO joystick. Never been used! And it’s mine!
