rowe ami 125w 6-07438-02 13 pin plug
« on: December 19, 2017, 02:43:08 am »
Hey everyone I'm after some help with a  rowe ami 125w 6-07438-02 13 pin plug that is under the aux output plug. There are some wires looping from pin to pin. I have traced one audio input circuit to one pin but can't figure the second as easily. Has anyone got a pinout for this plug so I can hook up an audio in please?

Alternatively is the 3 pin aux in fact an input as well? I've read this before but am not so sure for the 3 pin plug

On thre 3 pin auxillary plug the input/output is the same connection on the 5 pin plug the input and output are separate.

Awesome thanks. So I'll have to run mute unplugged to get that connection to work and then mute plugged in to get sound from record player? I only ask as when I tried record with mute unplugged  I got no sound until I plugged it back in

Oh and 3 pin plug works but requires amping or something to make it louder

Hello Lewis,

If you have read any posts on this subject you will see that the auxillary input/output needs to be about 500 to 600 mv as an input. we used to use hifi separates such as tape players or cd units which had an output in this range. The mute plug needs to be out or you build a switching circuit to bring the mute back into play when a record is selected.

Yes thanks I had read that and understood but had no real way of telling what the output was on my Bluetooth dongle. How I have wired it now taps straight into the secondary amps left and right and all music volume bass treble etc is controlled by the device plugged in as it misses out the preamp that has all those controls/enhancements. I also don't have to remove the mute this way so the jukebox acts as it should with records and also with the aux input. Cheers.
