Ultimarc and GGG push button color
« on: December 13, 2017, 03:56:27 pm »
Hello guys

Is anybody ever mix Groovygamegear (ClassX)  and Ultimarc(gold leaf) push button on the same control panel ? I would like to know if the color and shape match from one to the other. I’m asking because I actually have Ultimarc buttons and I’m missing couple of them to complete my project and at the same time I have to order other stuff from GGG (not available at Ultimarc) and I would like to save on shipping by buying from one place only. I still have the option to pick a different color from GGG and don’t bother with the color match but I’m curious to know if somebody already tried it. I’m looking for blue and red buttons.

Thanks

Martin

Red color match is very close.

Blue color match is nowhere near -- the Goldleafs are a much lighter shade.

The shape is noticably different -- the Goldleaf profile is pretty close to the Happ (and Arcade PRIME) profiles, but the ClassX has a much larger shoulder radius.

THank you PL1

Now ULtimarc have two shade of blue, I have the darker one which is supposedly a Happ match. Do you think it match GGG ClassX or Arcade prime ? To match the shape I may switch to Arcade prime since it's not primary fire buttons (it's will be button 5 and 6).

Thanks

Glad to see that Andy has added dark blue for Goldleafs.   ;D

I assume that Andy is right that the new dark blue shade matches Happ.

Happ/IL blue matches ClassX and Arcade PRIME blue.

To match the shape I may switch to Arcade prime since it's not primary fire buttons (it's will be button 5 and 6).
If you use Arcade PRIME or HAPP buttons, consider the Micro-Leaf switches -- that should give you a reasonably similar feel/clicky-ness to the Goldleafs.

Yes they do match the Happ blue.
