I still stand by my original opinion of not using that cabinet for Mame. It is still an in-demand working game in great condition. You would still be killing a "Dark Legacy" by parting it and Maming it because that sideart isn't gonna come off, and that marquee has been cut to fit the cab, and the overlay has too, etc. |

I just had a better look and I'll try to explain best I can how mine is wired. As you see in pic below, joys 1&2 are in the jamma connector, 3&4 are in the connectors above that, and I also have 2 more connectors if you are wirng other stuff to the left of the board that go to the coin doors. About 2 feet before the wiring meets the joysticks, my harness splits in 4 and has 4 connectors there that branch off to each joystick and end in a connector. I think you will need the connector for sure to hook up the 49 ways. If yours is split like mine, you can probably just get the extension piece to wire up the new joysticks. I'm looking to do the opposite and hook up 8 ways. Let me know if I can do anything else. |

Im going to get Mark's (from Basement Arcade) robocop with nothing in it, and do a full conversion on that. crapjoint if you could get some pics of your joystick wiring that would be great. any idea where i would find those connectors that are in your wiring or would they come with the 49s if i order them from happs |

any input on the speakers? im kind of stumped i dont see any wires that look like they should be attached to a speaker but arent. i think they have the pinout for the jamma connector in the manual maybe ill end up having to run my own wires from the connector to another speaker? |

You shouldn't have any problem picking up a dead conversion for a MAME project. I bought one with a monitor and a coin door for $50 a couple weeks back. Regarding your speakers, does this cab have two speakers in it or just one? If just one, does it have a place for a second? I'm just wondering if it was originally set up for mono sound. I really don't know anything at all about the newer cabs though. -S |
