toilet:
I haven't used this myself, and I'm sure it's not as good as a DC VGA box, but it may be what you're looking for.

Dave_K.:
the PS2 cannot output anything better than 15khz RGB. Computer monitors usually start at 31.5khz (VGA). So the only way to display a PS2 on your computer monitor would be to buy an "upscan converter". Some cheap ones are available (like the one mentioned above)...but the quality is pretty crappy.

me:
ps1 or ps2 wont output VGA signal...you can still use the ps2 vga box but you wont see much difference...its about the same as TV...nothing like the DREAMCAST..i almost passed out when i booted SONIC ADVENTURE on my vga arcade monitor....but you can still use ps2 vga box...good luck
Lilwolf:
The one advantage is the high definition TV is closer to VGA resolutions then the standards...
so look for a hdtv -> VGA since (I believe) the PS2 can output HDTV resolutions... I don't think PS can thought...
