Taito Vewlix Diamond Replica Project
« on: December 05, 2017, 10:28:37 am »
Hello guys.
I finished my  Custom Vewlix Diamond Edition Cabinet.
I made it by MDF. You can see the all images of the whole process.
The whole process is about 2 months. I didn't work full time.

I design it for PC and PS3 for now. But after Niko Release the Nesica Multi system, i will put my Taito Type X2 main board in the cabinet. And i will wire the all system for jamma.
For now Im just using it with Attract mode Fronted.

You can watch the video:

First 3D Drawing.

Main Case

I draw the all Control Panel layout as Vector graphic with Adobe Illustrator.

More Wood job

Control Panel

Side Parts. Made by 2 MDF (18mm)

Its a small hole for the monitor bezel. It is sliding. It can be remove easily

Back

Fake Nesica Card Reader  :P  :D

These are not MDF. It is wood.

Top Layer. I fiex 6 pieces of MDF then sanding :)

Monitor Bezel

All Finished before painting.

Lets paint it.
After Paint.

Marquee Arts And Side Arts and Control Panel Before printing.

After UV Print on the Plexi Glass Directly. ( Not Paper )

Lets Bring my home :P

Samsung 32" TV

Other staff

Metal part for control panel. I put it under the Plexi Glass. Metal is 1.2mm thick. And Plexi is 2.8mm

Hımm Not Bad

I covered the whole Marquee plexiglass glass with Car Glass Film.

Side Arts

Control Panel

Other arts :) for the instruction panels.

Speakers. (4pc)

Wiring buttons and joystick. I made it as a socket. It will be easy if i wanna change it.

Thats a PC/ps3 Controller.

And Finish  8o  8o

Work of art, The one playerness of it makes me sad though.  Any plans on doing a swappable two player panel?

 :applaud: Very nice. Good woodsmanship.

Only bit I'm not sure about is those two blue blocks at the back of the CP - what they for?

Faux card reader.

Amazing work , I feel you on the single player panel. I play solo more than co-op.
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

Nice build, very impressive! I was thinking that's a lot of real estate for just a 1P control panel as well but easy enough to change out when you want.
