  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
This is a weird one.  I've got an XArcade cabinet and if I start up Maximum Arcade and run a game, like Pac Man, all is well.  I walk away.

If I come back an hour later, it will be at the Maximum Arcade menu but the tankstick will no longer work in MA.  The light is on, but no one is home.  This is doubly confounding because:

a) The X-Arcade test program will show it as working just fine
b) The keyboard that's plugged in still works - I can move around in MA

I note at this point the trackball still works.  So basically the "keyboard" interface between the tankstick and Maximus Arcade is lost.

I'm also not sure why the game is exiting.  I have no screensaver, all power saving settings off (ie: never turn off monitor or disc or anything).

Any ideas would be appreciated!

I disabled the screensaver tab in Maximus (which might be a MAME setting, not sure) and the problem went away.
