Well, I got me a 6 Player X-men arcade. It isn’t in my possession until this Friday evening. I plan on restoring it after the holidays and I was wondering if anyone knew of a place, or website that sells either new, refurbished, or new old stock arcade parts. I would love to have original parts, but if I’m unable to find something I’ll settle for new. I’m not exactly sure what I need so far, but I do know I need the coin mechanisms. Anyone here have one of these machines, I’d like to talk to you and maybe get some part numbers if possible. Also, I saw a thread where someone was trying to replace the 2 CRT’s with a single LCD. Was that accomplished? If so, I’d love to know how. Isn’t the one image reversed because of the mirror? Thanks for the help! |

It is not called restoring if you throw an LCD in there. Stick with CRTs. Ebay and craigslist are good places to get original controls. |

For actually hardware, I will tell you it will be hard to find. Check over at KLOV. There may be a few that have spare parts, also check out the arcadeboneyard.com Otherwise you could make due with some ball top joysticks over at focusattack.com I agree, stick with the CRTS. If they work use them... much better picture for a game like that. And lastly you don't need working coin mechs... That machine has free play. |
