Pick n Pay Haul 3: Diminishing Returns
« on: December 01, 2017, 11:04:42 am »
So I went to the final Pick n Pay of the year.  In terms of game-related stuff, there wasn't much this time, especially considering I've found at least one classic console at the last two.

2 Wireless xbox 360 gamepads:  $10
Rock Candy 360 gamepad:  $5
PSP 3001 (no battery):  $5
PS2 Slim (no cables, controllers, ect):  $5

They had plenty of computers, monitors, laptops, ect, but I'm still trying to use the ones I bought last time, so I took a pass.

Will do thanks.  They actually had other psps with the battery in tact, but having wised up to demand, they were selling them for 40 bucks, which is a bit too steep for pawn shop psps imho.

You should have took the battery from a good one and put it with the one you were buying.

So I bought a new battery door, battery and a set of component cables for the psp.  It was a little over 10 bucks total.  So it's a 15 dollar psp.... I'm not sure if that's a good deal or not considering it isn't in perfect condition, but I don't have a psp and even with the vita, the psp's component out is a nice feature to have.  I'm satisfied at least.  Cleaned up the gamepads... they all work fine except the rock candy which has a ceased rumble motor.  I'll have to look through my junk pile to see if I have one.  I'm not even sure if it's necessary considering I bought this particular pad to hack into a custom flight stick.
